Lean Protein

Turkey is a fantastic food. It's lean, full of protein and vitamins and provides some amazing health benefits. However, for me, the best part about cooking up a turkey is....left overs! Next time you have some  left over turkey why not whip-up this quick, low calorie turkey salad?

What You Need:

  • 5 Ounces of Turkey (white) cut in chunks

  • 3/4 cup unpeeled apple, chopped

  • 1/2 cup of sliced celery

  • 2 tablespoons of raisins

  • 1/3 cup of diet Italian dressing

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or substitute)

  • Lettuce

Stir the turkey, apple, celery and raisins together in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the dressing and brown sugar. Pour the dressing over the turkey and apple mixture and stir in. Serve on a bed of lettuce. This recipe make approximately 2 servings at 190 calories per serving.
